Every day brings about new experiences at Wildwood Ranch Day Camp. Our two private lakes provide great areas for lots of water sports. We have swimming opportunities for all swimming levels guarded by caring professional lifeguards. There are lots of activities to do at the waterfront for everyone...from the non-swimmer who just wants to get wet in the shallow area to the advanced swimmer who passes the swim test and is allowed into the deeper areas. The water trampoline and the water "Blob" are two favorite water activities! There are also canoes, paddleboats, rowboats and funyaks!

Horseback riding is a favorite among our campers! Every week during day camp the campers get to visit the horse barn. We have qualified instructors who love to share their love of horses as well as their knowledge with children! Campers are exposed to horse safety, their care and even how a horse likes to be petted! They learn how to groom a horse and they have a riding experience aimed at their particular riding level. All of this excitement occurs under the watchful eye of our wrangling staff!

Wildwood Ranch is a Christian organization. Our staff are committed Christians who desire to be great role models that inspire the children who attend our camps. We do have a daily Bible story time that all the camper enjoy. It is a blast! But it is more than that. The main way that we impact campers is by loving them and inspiring them. There are so many opportunities to learn life lessons as you experience all of these activities in a community group. Campers leave with much more than a memory of a great time...they experience community with their peers and with some really cool caring staff members!

There are many, many more activities that day campers enjoy at Wildwood Ranch! There are 240 acres with many nature trails that can be explored with their counselor's assistance. We offer arts and crafts activities, a 40 foot climbing wall (for the daring), nature classes, field games, team sports, disc golf, and all the creative group games that campers have enjoyed for decades.

Your child will experience nature up close and personal. There is so much research today about the value of a child just playing outside, without the internet and whatever the latest and greatest game console is. Day camp is a perfect way to make sure that your child does not experience the "Nature Deficit Disorder" (as described in Richard Louv's excellent book, "Last Child in the Woods").
